In each case the optimum film exposure which produces the maximum image contrast was determined. The film screen system behavior was studied as a function of phantom thickness, field size and air gap between the phantom and the film screen system. The film screen system was calibrated in a 6MV x-ray beam and under various irradiation conditions. Three homogeneous water phantoms were used to simulate head-neck, thorax and abdomen dimensions of adult human, correspondingly. The aim of this work is to generate technique charts for the Kodak EC-L film screen system for use in a 6MV x-ray beam. Common port films suffer from poor image quality compared to the simulator-diagnostic films and is desirable to determine the appropriate exposure required for the best image contrast. Port films are used in radiotherapy for visual evaluation of the radiation fields and subsequent quantitative analysis. Sandilos, P Antypas, C Paraskevopoulou, C Kouvaris, J Vlachos, L I have no technical records or any specific documents on these films and I find few traces on the Internet.Technique charts for Kodak EC-L film screen system for portal localization in a 6MV X-ray beam. They are finished and I have to pronounce compliance but I do not have any documents on these films, just a very simple attestation written in Chinese speaking of a lot conformance to the norm. I would like to have the choice that you propose me and make the films with the series Structurix D but our subcontractor has already made all its films with the series Testix C4. My current problem concerns the Testix C series of films which, it seems, are made only for China. I am grateful for the time you would like to give to my question, and I thank you for your answer that will be useful to me today and in the future. Re: Difference between Agfa Structurix D7 and Agfa Testix D7 In Reply to Dr. Only for these film types ALL emulsions are evaluated and a complete film system survaillance is done by BAM Berlin as independent 3rd party, which is the pre-requisite for BAM film system certification! So if you are working in the nuclear sector and want to prevent any surprise, than I recommend strongly to use ONLY Structurix D4 to D7 films, which are classified and certified to be in the correct film system classes according to ISO 11699 using standard NDT processing. And as expected, not all of these films are completely in the designated film system class C5, some are in film system class C6 according to ISO 11699-1! Since my last reply in 2015 some time passed by and we had the chance to test a few emulsions of Testix D7M films last year. Re: Difference between Agfa Structurix D7 and Agfa Testix D7 In Reply to Serge at 03:50 Dec-21-2017. The master rolls of both trade marks are manufactured with identical quality assurance by AGFA in Mortsel, Belgium.īut there are also TESTIX D7M, C7 and E7 films for the Asian NDT market, which do NOT correspond to STRUCTURIX films and does not fit into the ISO 11699-1 classification scheme. This roll fulfills all requirements of the film system class C4 of ISO 11699-1, when developed under standard conditions of the AGFA chemisty, which can be proven by certified PMC strips purchased from AGFA.įor the films itself I do not see any difference between STRUCTURIX D5 or D7 films and TESTIX D5 and D7 films beside the packaging is done in different parts of this world. That it is within our product surveillance of STRUCTURIX NDT film batches with AGFA. I am able to check the emulsion number of the master roll and can confirm, In India for local distribution under the brand name TESTIX. purchased a master roll from AGFA Mortsel and cut and packed it I did not know this before, but all is clear now. Thank you very much for the image you posted. Re: Difference between Agfa Structurix D7 and Agfa Testix D7 In Reply to Shankar Arumugam at 14:09 May-29-2015.
